The CHR token serves as the main utility token within the Chronos ecosystem. It is designed to incentivize users to provide liquidity and stake their LP tokens on the platform. Chronos employs a dual-token structure involving CHR and veCHR. CHR holders can deposit their tokens to obtain veCHR, which grants them voting rights over platform metrics. This control determines how CHR incentives are allocated to liquidity pools. Furthermore, veCHR holders are entitled to a significant portion of swap fees and 100% of bribes from pools they support through their votes.

Chronos Finance facilitates efficient trading through two types of liquidity pools: sAMM for stable asset pairs like USDC/USDT, and vAMM for volatile pairs such as CHR/WETH. Users can earn CHR token emissions by staking their Liquidity Provider (LP) tokens, often through an integrated "Deposit and Stake" option during liquidity provision. The platform also features "maturity-adjusted liquidity positions" (maNFTs), which are innovative non-fungible tokens designed to increase CHR token emissions for long-term participants. These maNFTs provide an additional incentive and can be traded on secondary markets.

Yes, CHR tokens can be staked to earn rewards within the Chronos Finance ecosystem. Staking CHR is essential for accumulating points and unlocking a reward multiplier system, which significantly increases a user's share of earned rewards. Opting for a longer lock-up period for staked tokens typically results in a greater reward multiplier and enhanced voting power within the platform. The staking process is conducted directly through the official Chronos dApp interface, requiring users to connect a self-custody wallet, approve the necessary contract interactions, and confirm their staking transaction.
