RISE CHAIN (RISE) FAQ
What is Rise Chain (RISE) and what problem does it solve?
Rise Chain is an EVM-compatible Layer 2 (L2) network built on Ethereum, designed to address the scalability and performance limitations of existing rollups. It aims to achieve high transaction speeds and low latency, making blockchain technology more efficient and user-friendly. The project seeks to provide a robust and scalable platform for decentralized applications (dApps) and to re-architect the financial stack for a transparent, composable, and unstoppable on-chain economy.
How does Rise Chain achieve high transaction speeds and low latency?
Rise Chain achieves its performance goals through several innovative technologies: Parallel EVM (PEVM) for simultaneous smart contract execution; Continuous Block Pipeline (CBP) for continuous block production by pre-executing transactions; Based Sequencing, where Layer 1 (L1) proposers handle transaction ordering, data compression, and block generation for decentralization; and Based Preconfirmations, where an L1 proposer promises transaction confirmation at a specific timestamp, reducing latency. It also introduces "Gigagas," aiming for over 1 Ggas/s throughput, and claims 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) and sub-second finality, or even sub-5-millisecond latency.
What is the utility of the RISE token?
While limited information is available about the token as of August 2025, its main utility is assumed to be governance and powering the network's decentralized sequencer, similar to other L2s. It is expected to be a governance token, with staking potentially granting voting power within the ecosystem to influence protocol parameters and future token emissions.
When will the RISE token launch/be distributed?
As of August 2025, information on the Rise Chain token is limited, but the team confirms a future launch. An Initial DEX Offering (IDO) is planned on a launchpad platform. There is no exact date for the Token Generation Event (TGE) and distribution yet.
Is there a Rise Chain airdrop, and how can one qualify?
Rise Chain has launched a testnet, and users can interact with projects within the Rise ecosystem to potentially qualify for a future airdrop. Activities include adding the Rise testnet to a wallet, requesting test tokens from a faucet, playing games, making swaps and adding liquidity on dApps like GasPump, Clober, and B3X, creating NFTs on NFTs2me, and lending/borrowing tokens on InariFi. Users can also complete tasks on platforms like Layer3.
How does Rise Chain compare to other Layer 2 solutions?
Rise Chain aims to surpass the capabilities of most existing L2 solutions by offering significantly higher throughput (100,000 TPS) and lower latency (sub-5ms) compared to some established L2 solutions, which are often described as struggling to meet current latency and throughput demands. Its innovative architecture, including Parallel EVM (PEVM), Continuous Execution, and Based Sequencing, distinguishes it from L2s that may utilize less efficient data structures.
