Silencio is a Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN) that utilizes smartphones as real-world audio sensors. Users leverage the Silencio app to measure local noise levels in decibels or contribute voice data. This information is anonymized and aggregated into a global audio intelligence map. The project aims to provide hyper-local noise data for industries such as urban planning, real estate, and hospitality. Additionally, the network supports the training of Voice AI models using diverse languages and accents to improve global machine learning capabilities.

There are three main ways to earn $SLC: 1. Passive Measurement: Users can enable background recording, allowing the app to collect noise data while the phone is idle. 2. Active Contributions: This involves manually recording decibel levels at specific locations or completing "Voice AI" quests by contributing speech data. 3. Referrals: Users can earn a percentage of the rewards generated by others who signed up using their unique invite code. These mechanisms incentivize the growth of the global audio data network while rewarding active participation.
